This is the perfect magazine for those who are mechanically inclined - or interested! Great topics that are interesting and pertinent to modern living and current topics, with well written and detailed articles for those that are learning something new. I definitely recommend it!
I am a computer systems major and love all facets of technology. I like to rip my car apart. I love to build new computing systems. I love computer games.
If you are anything like me, get this magazine.
I have been reading Popular Mechanics for several years. It is the only magazine that I read from cover to cover. I gives great (and useable) information on computers, tools, do-it-yourself home improvement, car repairs, new products, and the latest technical innovations. Even their short car reviews are very informative. Every time I pick something up that is useful to me.
This magazine is one of the few I eagerly await each month. Then I read it cover to cover.
I've been reading PM for as long as I can remember, and it's always been a great magazine. Good way to keep up with a broad expanse of technology.
I grew up reading Popular Mechanics and lost the habit nearly 50 years ago but with this renewal the fond memories of what it contains came back in a way better than expected with the understandable explanations of electronic gadget workings as well as the more traditional topics I remembered.
The magazine continues to deliver the goods without excessive hype, and can significantly improve our understanding of how things work, in a culturally sensitive context. I like it.
I've been reading Popular Mechanics for so long I don't remember when I started it's THAT good. The magazine has the most up to date and interesting articles. If you have even just a little bit of curiosity in your brain then you will enjoy reading about all of the new gadgets and new technology that is out there. Along with Popular Science these two magazines will keep you riveted with their new product features and the really interesting articles about various interesting and significant facts, figures and data. Keep your mind refreshed and your knowledge up to date with the two Populars. Mechanics and Science for those who like to stay at the forefront of what's going on in the world.
Popular Mechanics is a very informative publication, and not only for those mechanically inclined. It contains advices for most everyone.
I've been trying to get away from electronic media and get back to the basics. There is nothing better than sitting down with a good magazine and this is easily my favorite. It's the only magazine that I read from cover to cover. I enjoy the product reviews, including upcoming cars, and learning useful techniques for maintenance around the house. The ads are minimal and unobtrusive, unlike maxim magazine which has an ad every other page.
