Reviews For Parents Magazine

Great Parenting Advice

I love this magazine. I have been subscribing for about 4 years, since I became pregnant with my first child. I am always happy to see it in the mail. It has the greatest stories, advice columns, and even advertisements. It has something for everyone, stay at home parents, working parents, single parents, and even grandparents. Whenever I have some time to myself, I find myself picking up this magazine. It's wonderful to have this resource for questions that all parents have and to know that you're not alone. This magazine has sound advice from both experts and parents (who are really the experts.)

Pregnancy and Beyond

Parents magazine is a very wonderful magazine full of resources. It contains articles dealing with pregnancy, newborns, and children up to about 14 years old. The contributors to the magazine are all experts, whether being a Dr. or parents themselves. It contains great advice, recommends only the best products, has great recipes, and the babies are just adorable. Parents is like 10 magazines in one, I can read all the articles in one issue and it covers everything that I would have to read in about 10 other magazines. It has articles on everything from health to how to diaper and bathe a baby correctly. I would recommend this magazine to first time mothers and beyond. It is also a great magazine for fathers my husband has learned a lot from Parents. It has really prepared us for our new arrival.

Great magazine!

I subscribed to Parents magazine when I was pregnant with my second child. It is a great one! I read it from front to back every month, usually the day I get it in the mail.
There are a wide variety of things discussed pertaining to parenting children of all ages.
I like the articles about "it happened to my child", I was just reading it today and it talks about accidents that sadly other kids have had. By reading them though, sometimes you may realize the danger in certain things that you might not have thought of before.
I also enjoy when readers write in with questions and other readers (real parents) write in to respond to them.
The magazine usually has great featured articles every month to. This month there was an article about ways to make money from home.
I will renew my subscription with them for sure!

the best parents magazine

This is my favorite parenting magazine and one of the two that I still subscribe to.

This magazine has so much info in it. Usually the articles have both sides of the story. If there is an article on bottle feeding it will also have info on breast feeding in it.

The creators of Parents magazine really want you to know the facts so that you can make an informed opinion. The give the names and authors of books that offer more info on the subject of the articles in the magazine.

There doesn't seem to be as many ads in this magazine as there are in some of the other parenting magazines.

If you can only afford to get one parenting magazine I would suggest that you get Parents. It is the best!

Everything you could ever want to know about parenting.

When my daughter was born in November or '98 my mother in-law gave me a subscription to parents magazine as a gift. When the first issue came i sat down and read the whole thing in one sitting. I was amazed at how many of my questions and concerns had been answered by this one issue. This magazine has the most informative issues i have ever seen. Articles like , Hidden Hazards in the crib, tub and car. Parents also have product recall listings so that you will know if your childs toy or car seat is faulty or could harm your child in any way.I so much enjoyed articles like, What makes a great parent and Brilliant-party ideas. Not only does Parents deal with parenting issues but also marriage , divorce issues . My most favorite part has to be, Out of the mouths of baby's. Parents magazine is educational, fun and i just love it! I give parents magazine to all my friends that are mothers-to-be.

Everyone Should Read This!

This is one of the best parenting magazines I have read. I am not a parent and I am not currently expecting, but I still love reading this magazine. There are SO many articles that have useful information. I have started a "collection" of baby magazines that have great articles! I know when the time comes, I will not be able to find one magazine that has articles on such broad topics. So - now I have these magazines to look back on and help me through those "trying" times!

I love the fact that this magazine has articles relevant to many age groups (newborn through 13 years old). It is great to have age relevant information. It also has easy recipes that require little time to prepare!

This is a great parenting magazine and I feel almost ready to handle any problem that may come my way when I do have a baby! I said ALMOST any problem!

Very good tips for Mom and Dad

I only subscribe to two magazines and this is one of them. I would have to say on the whole I don't like to read magazines that much but I do like this one because of the parental input I get from it, other parents giving their advise on how to get Tommy to eat his peas or how to get Suzy to remember to brush her teeth. Simple everyday life issues. I do feel though that maybe they could have more input and articles about older children too. Soon my kids will be out of the age range and I won't need this magazine anymore. It is a great magazine for expecting moms.

Parent's need this!

I have read every parenting magazine under the sun. I have two children, and I welcome any advice I can get. Of all the magazines I've read, I've found Parents to be the most useful and easy to read magazine out there.
It's organized and has relative articles every month.
I love the ages and stages sections, with specific attention given to each age group. It's nice that they even include pregnancy in there. There are always pages dedicated to just yourself, as a parent, and beauty tips for busy moms. One of the best sections is the "It Worked For Me" section. This offers neat ideas and solutions that are easy to do with your own kids. I've found all of the advice given in Parents to be pretty sound advice. There is a small profile of the editors and contributors in each months issue, so you get to see who is writing about what you are reading. It's nice to know most of the contributors and editors are parents themselves! I look forward to receiving my issue each month in the mail - it's my release. The recipes are always first class and fairly easy to make. All around, this magazine is geared for busy parents, and tries to offer any help and advice to make raising our children a little easier. Thank you Parents!

Love this magazine!!

My husband and I are expecting our first child later this year, and already love this magazine! I think it so helpful, that I gave subscriptions for Christmas to 2 new moms I know.

When our baby comes home, I intend to have an in-home daycare, and I have found wonderful ideas in Parents magazine, for activities, good ways to discipline, and even healthy snack ideas that kids like. In the January issue, they had Healthy Snacks from A to Z. And most of these snacks would be appealing to children. I will list some of these snacks on the sample menu I have to submit to the state as part of my state daycare licensing requirements.

They always have an article for every age group, starting from pregnancy and birth, all the way to the early teens. The pregnancy and birth article in January's issue was suggestions on how to find a good pediatrician. I found this article especially helpful, as we are not quite parents yet, and had no idea how to find the right doctor.

Parents also had in the January issue, articles including, A Day in the Life of a School Nurse, and 10 Discipline Lessons to Live By; cooking articles such as, One-Pot Favorites, and Let's Cook: Instant Oaties; and health and safety articles such as, Is It Just a Cold?, and Health & Safety: Cold-weather hazards, and seat-belt alert.

Parents can write in with questions and comments. Your question can even be the subject of an article, if you wish. You pose a question, or problem, and then in the next month's magazine, other parents will write in with their own personal solutions to that situation.

I highly recommend this magazine. I think it is full of useful information and fun to read, too!

Great magazine; Great price!

I have subscribed to Parents magazine since before the birth of my first child. It has helped enormously in many areas. For starters, I love the "It Worked For Me" column, with lots of interesting ideas for all kinds of situations, from charts for chores to letting toddlers fingerpaint in the bathtub. Parents also has a column in which a reader's question is chosen each month, and other readers then write in with their suggestions or advice on the issue. Lots of points of view are included so there are lots of helpful ideas. I'm not crazy about the recipes that are included in the 'meals' section, because I think that most of them are just a little too involved or have unusual ingredients for everyday, run of the mill parents to shop for or prepare. However, I do enjoy the section which features fun meal ideas for small kids; it's not something I do everyday, but parents of toddlers know that every once in a while, when your kid has had nothing but mac and cheese for a solid week, you may just be motivated to make a slice of meatloaf into a butterfly. All in all, I love this magazine, and I think it's an excellent price at under a buck an issue. Definitely well worth the money.
