Reviews For Marie Claire Magazine

Marie Claire is a Winner!

I have a subscription to Marie Claire and every month I look forward to reading this wonderful magazine. There are several reasons why I like this magazine. It is different than other fashion magazines because it provides the reader with real life issues that are actually important. Such issues include real life heroes, interracial relationships, women living with cancer, and many other interesting issues that all women can relate to. Marie Claire also provides tips on health, beauty, fashion, relationships, work, etc. Unlike most fashion magazines with tons of ads, Marie Claire has the right amount of them. The magazine focuses on actually having articles with substance, that can make a difference, and have an impact on others. It is a very well rounded magazine and think women of all ages will enjoy this magazine.

An intelligent read

"Marie Claire" is actually very well written. Magazines are usually my way of winding down without having to put too much thought into it. This magazine suprised me because it went beyond the clothing, makeup, and ridiculous sex articles. Each month it features women from different countries and the extreme atrocities of their cultures. These articles are very informative, and give a view of what is "normal" for other societies.

Articles featuring clothing and makeup highlight both expensive options and the thrifty alternatives. I end up buying half the products that catch my eye. For someone who can't afford Versace, it is nice to see a similar piece without the price tag!

I also subscribe to "Allure", "Cosmopolitan", "Jane", "Glamour", "Shape", and "Mademoiselle," so I pretty much know how it compares to the other magazines which are similar! This is by far my favorite of the bunch. My 50 year old mother enjoys reading it after I am through.

Women 2K

Marie Claire has something for every women out there. I have subscribed to Marie claire for 3 years now and I have never been bored. Well to tell the truth the section on home fashion and cooking is kind of boring. The best part of this magazine to me is the fact that it educates it readers. In every issue there is a article about women from all over the world and what they are going through. I have learned so much about women's affairs all over the world. Marie Claire also does a good job on keep me informed about the hottest fashion and makeup tips. It features all the hottest trends before they hit mainstream. Overall I think Marie Claire is for today's women.

buy this magazine now!

I personally rate magazines on how much I like them by the "after feeling" that they leave on me after I read them. For example, after I read W I feel like it was a waste of time, after I read Cosmo I feel sexual, after I read Marie Claire i feel well rounded and healthy.
This is one of the best magazines on the shelf today. Instead of articles like, "Learn How to be a Dominatrix" and "Lose 15 pounds in 5 days" you are more likely to find, "How to Help Your Sexual Slump" and "Healthier Bodies, Healthier Minds".
It's an informative magazine that doesn't really focus on one specific topic (i.e. sex), it deals with every issue that women have to deal with. It has tasteful and well written columns. SO, buy one issue and se if you like it. I'm sure that you will order a subscription!

For the ALL AROUND WOMAN

Marie Claire magazine is for the all around mature yet trend setting woman. In my opinion, Marie Claire gives all of the latest tips on beauty products, how-to's, fashion, woman in the work place, culture around the world and even the hottest travel destinations.

Marie Claire is like no other magazine. Besides being your personal trainer it also includes a free product in each monthly issue. It allows one the chance to try different things one would not normally buy due to the cost, etc. I feel by the magazine giving their buyers a free gift shows their gratitude for our purchase.

Marie Claire has other unique qualities as well. They have the most accurate and extended horoscope sections and the most exquisite sweepstake challenges.

I would recommend Marie Claire to any one from 18 years of age to 99 years of age. It is just the all around most politically correct magazine I have ever read. I give it two thumbs up!!!

A magazine with flair and substance

I subscribe to more than 10 magazines and this is by far my favorite women's fashion magazine. The magazine offers realistic fashion advice along with articles on global women's issues. The articles are well written and do not insult my intelligence as a reader, and their is fashion advice for all types of budgets.

Also, I look forward to the "free item" offered each month as well as the monthly contests. I strongly suggest subscribing to this magazine.

Fashion Made Easy

Having been in the fashion industry for over 12 years has exposed me to numerous fashion publications. Although Marie Claire is a relatively new magazine, it's one of my favorites.

This past Christmas, I gave gift subscriptions to Marie Claire to a few of my friends not accustomed to receiving any fashion publications. Most of them believed that the fashions portrayed in magazines such as Vogue or Elle weren't realistic for their lives, or their budget. I happened to share Marie Claire with them one day, and they loved it. They appreciated the fact that it showed the runway trends and then offered less expensive alternatives in achieving the same look.

In every magazine, you will find a section that offers suggestions on key colors and styles that are upcoming--the new "hot" items. But what's unique to this magazine is that it prices the runway item and shows a realistic copy for a "working" budget. And, better yet, if you can't shop for a whole new wardrobe, it offers suggestions on a few key items to purchase to stay on top of the new trends.

All in all, if you're on a limited budget, this is one of the best investments to make--It's a magazine for those that want to look fashionable, without breaking the bank...

Who Know's You Better?

I've been a reader of Marie Claire for a couple of now. I don't remember how I came to pick up my first issue of Marie, but I know that when I did, I was hooked. I have told others about it and know a few people who have subscriptions due to my recommendation.

The articles range from couples who are asked the question, "Who knows you best," an article about who knows the woman better, the husband or her best friend, to guys guessing which naked body part belongs to their mate. Current issues are discussed and Marie Claire takes pride in bringing us articles that clue us in on the abuse of women across the world. I've been informed of many things that I didn't know were happening.

I subscribe to a few magazines, most of which I can thumb through in fifteen minutes. Marie Claire is my favorite of them all, as I can sit down by the pool or in my reading room and escape in its pages for hours.

I definitely recommend Marie Claire to women of all ages.

Fashion Extravaganza!!!

To all the fashion admirers out there: This is for you! Happy Birthday! This is the only magazine I ever buy. When I see those numbers on the cover, 387 fall fashion picks, I snatch it up before anyone else has a chance. It's mine! Yes! I can spend hours flipping through the ads alone: Fendi, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, and many more. I'm fascinated by their witty fashion picks of the month, and outfits. But not only do they present us with a fashion show in our hands, but they help us do our hair and make-up like the pro's. They also present advice a number of topics such as... sex. Marie Claire has made a great name for itself in my living room. Buy it! It will be the best decision you ever made. Don't let yourself get stuck reading airplane magazines, or reader's digest!

More Marie Claire

While the cover of Marie Claire looks like all the other Fashion Magazines, if you open it and look inside you automatically notice a difference. Once you flip through the table of contents you'll notice only a couple pages of ads unlike Vogue who has between 70 and 100 pages of ads. The articles automatically follow the ads page after page. The articles range in topics from guys trying to guess which body parts belong to their girlfriend by looking at pictures of their butt's, hands and feet to interviewing millionaires in different countries and looking and their lifestyles. Serious issues are also discussed such as the problems women have in other countries and girls smuggling drugs to other countries for druglords and being imprisoned.

After you read the magazine you'll look at a clock at see you have read the whole thing and time has passed. It usually takes me two hours to read my issue of Marie Claire compared to the fifteen minutes it takes me to flip through the pages of Cosmopolitan.

The only bad thing I could think of is the pages toward the end of the magazine that have pictures of models displaying the new fashions. How many times do you actually study those pictures and learn new fashion tips. Every fashion magazine needs a few models and clothes in their magazine but after reading the pages of great articles you are somewhat disappointed when you get to the fashion pages because you realize the articles are done and you have to wait for next month's issue.

Take my word for it. Marie Claire is the best magazine ever!
