Reviews For Golf Digest Magazine

Always Interesting and Useful

I have been a loyal subscriber to Golf Digest for many years and will continue to subscribe for many more. Plain and simple- it is an awesome magazine! The coverage is so much broader than what you get with other golf magazines and the article are also better.

First off, the magazine provides a good deal of instruction, from well know teaching authorities, who attempt to taylor the article to each type of golfer. Additionally, the instruction varies from month to month and, therefore, at some point in time will focus on wht you are interested in. Each month also includes profiles on players from all of the tours. A nice feature because they actually tell you something about the players and not just what they have won. The magazine also provides a great deal of information on golf courses from all over the world. Some of them are great courses that everyone has heard of and others are equally great courses that few have heard of. Basically, Golf Digest provides you with many options should you decide to begin looking at a trip to certain areas of the world. Finally, the magazine has numerous short articles that are very easy to read and informative, while not being long winded.

The only gripe I have with Golf Digest is the number of ads- too many. Thankfully, the ads are at least informative and are typically for golf products or golf courses so they are not completely boring, but they are still ads.

I would rate Golf Digest as the number one golf magazine. I have read many others, but none match up in all categories.

A magazine of tips, tricks and news to improve your game

I started receiving this magazine a few months ago and have been very satisfied with it. This is the best golf magazine I have ever read. The magazine alone has taught me more than my local pro because of all the tips and tricks it contains.

What I love is that they feature the opinions and the ways of the best golfers in the world. They feature little tip books that can be taken out of the book so you can take it on the course with you. They analyze swings of many players, Tiger Woods especially.

In one issue they showed how Tiger Woods hads evolved his swings over the last several years. This showed me how he progressed and it made me consider my swing some more. They even interviewed him and he taught a lesson on how to play all aspects of golf.

The magazine will teach you everything, from bunker shots to drives. All the news is covered and a overview of major tournements are covered. Many times they have a Question and Answer column, this way players from all handicaps can ask Golf Digest how to improve there swing. This is a must for every golfer and well worth the price.

Can you DIGEST this?

Okay, so the closest I have been to golfing is standing near my Dad's golf clubs in the garage, but believe me, this is a great magazine. My Dad is in love with this game, and this publication. He has been playing golf for just a few short years now, and still has a few things to learn about the game (that's in his words!). I recently got him a subscription of Golf Digest, and he has done nothing but RAVE about it for days now.
There are so many interviews, pictures, tips on how to improve your game, and the best (and affordable) equipment on the market. He has tried some of the tips that were given in the last edition, and thinks that they may be helping him already!
He was so impressed with the magazine that he just couldn't digest it all at once, he keeps reading through the articles and flipping through the pictures! If it can keep my Dad's attention, and improve his game, then this IS a great magazine!

Easy to digest

This is an excellent magazine. You get great golf tips, from the top pros and teachers, meanwhile, they are extremely easy to understand. The detailed pictures and illustrations make the instructions easy to understand. But wait... this magazine is not only good for the golfer who wants to better his game. The stories are wonderful, and they cause everything from tears to unstoppable laughter. And one of the top benefits of Golf Digest is the travel tips about where to play, when to play, and how to play there. Overall this is a great magazine. i think it outranks Golf Magazine, and Golf Tips, two other great magazines. BUY THIS TODAY.

very thorough

My husband recently gave this up, because he just doesn't devote the time to it he once did. Golf Digest always has thorough articles, great advice, wonderful diagrams, and articles about courses that make you want to go right now! You can count on them to have the pros who are successful discuss their best shots, or how to improve their worst ones. They review the tournaments, players, and sticks, and yes, the clothes and gloves too.

Golf Digest is for the devoted person who really wants to get intimate with the game. The issues are long, and packed with information, as well as glitzy ads. A really good read!

The best in its category

Being a subscriber to several golf publications Golf
Digest is without a doubt the best on the market.
I have played golf for many years and have a six handicap
so I know what I am talking about.

The magazine has more useful tips, and information for golfers
then any of its competitors. It is a golf world of information.

If you are looking to subscribe to a golf magazine this is the one.

The layout of the magazine is excellent and is written in an easy to
understand manner, with many great pictures, especially in areas of
teaching you better golf. Product reviews are also top of the line,
providing you with the latest updates and information.

If you are a golfer, beginning or old-timer, and practice the lessons
in this magazine you will definitely improve your golf game.

THE Golf Magazine

This is the magazine that ALL golf nuts have to subscribe to. There are other magazines about golf, but Golf Digest has no peers in this area.

As an admitted golf addict, I must admit that I have been a subscriber to at least six different golfing publications. While they were all enjoyable to peruse (after all, they had stuff about golf in them--didn't they?!), I came to the conclusion that the Cadillac of golf publications is indeed Golf Digest.

The variety of articles range from instruction for a wide range of skill levels, news about the tours, updates on the latest in equipment, and fantastic personal interest stories about the professionals that we see on TV every weekend.

I would caution anyone who has influence with the Golf Digest people, that I am concerned about the trend over the past two years to beef up the magazine with lengthy advertisement sections and simply selling more pages of ads. I would say that my primary complaint with a couple other un-named publications was that there were so many ads that I couldn't find the articles (or follow them once they were found). I have always appreciated that Golf Digest seemed to keep advertising to a minimum. I hope that the recent trend is either stopped or reversed!

Golf Instruction Book

This is sort of the first magazine that i have subscribed to and it is great. I started playing golf about a year ago and so i thought that now that i am a golfer that i must have a golf magazine. This magazine is full of great tips to help your game and also give great history on this great game. When i started playing golf it was hard for me to get under 95 but since i have been following the tips in the magazine my scores have consistantley gone below 85. And i must say that shooting under 85 and only playing for a year is a great acomplishment and i couldn't have done it without the great tips in this magazine.

Golfs Top of The Line Magazine

You can find so much more information in this single magazine then you can in all the other different magazines out there. First of all, they have the best tour professionals on there staff(Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson) Which gives you insight to there game and tips on how you can mimic there games. You also can find whats new in golf equipment and how you can find out more information on them. My favorite part of this magazine is there monthly section on what a certain professional uses in there bag. A picture of there clubs and a short summary on either what they like about it or what they did to them such as fitting. I love to see what tour players use and usually try to save that section of the magazine.
